I can't believe its been 2 weeks. Time really does go by quickly!!!
I went for a quick 5 mile run today and my quads were soooo sore. I tried to do Stretch X right after and was unable to do most of the moves that stretched the quads. I knew something was up. So I went and got a massage. The massage therapist said I have a lot of lactic acid build up in my quads. Bring on the epson salt baths to help ease the pain...
3rd week starts tomorrow...and I'm supper PUMPED
Join me as I embark on my P90X journey...for 90 days...and then some :) I'm BRINGING IT!!!

Day 13- Kenpo
People have said that Kenpo isn't a great workout. To quote a recent Tony Horton chat..."the reason the workout sucks is YOU"
If you are not going to give it your all you will not sweat! So people, when there's the "cool-down" portion of the dvd, run, skip rope, do the jacks, and I guarantee that your heart rate will be UP and your blood will be pumping.
Kenpo X always makes me feel stronger, and its one of those workouts I really look forward to!

Day 12- Legs and Back + Ab Ripper x!!!!... and some news about chicken
Man did I need a whole load of motivation to get going with my workout this morning. But man... did it feel wonderful finishing it. My back and quads are burning right now and its been about 4 hours since I completed it... mmm calorie burn :)
Soooo... a good friend came over last night and watched with an odd faced expression as I measured my chicken breast AFTER I had cooked it. She then proceed to ask "what the hell are you doing". uhh measuring my chicken... or so I thought I was. She then told me how you are supposed to ONLY measure raw meat, and then cook it as measuring it after cooking decreases the weight by...a bit. Now this is not brand new news for me. I've heard this before, but i've thought not much of it. Really how much extra calories can be in .5oz of chicken breast... apparently after some research, enough to hinder someone's "last 10 lbs" weight loss efforts.
So today for lunch I measured my chicken breast raw...3 oz, and then stuck it in the oven for 30 min... showered, opened the door, and my chicken, was small, much smaller than what I am used to portioning out. Just for fun I stuck the cooked chicken back on the scale and my once 3oz breast...is now a sad 2.3oz breast. I guess those .7oz extra, 3 times a day or so, is what may be keeping my weight the way it is...hmmm... glad I figured this out now.
Goes to show, if you think your a pro at weight loss, eating healthy, exercising... your really not. There's lots and lots to learn in this world.
Kenpo is next tomorrow... and I can't wait

Week 1- P90X
So I officially completed week 1 on Sept 2... and I am proud to say that I did every single workout! Yes, even STRETCH X :) I absolutely LOVE "SHOULDERS BICEPS TRICEPS" just finishing the dvd made me feel 10x stronger. I am currently on day 11... and today was "YOGA X". I actually don't mind it...I just wish it was a tad shorter. My attention span doesn't normally last past an hour and this dvd is just pushing me to my limit. I will keep pushing play though. The results are worth it!
Some before and after pics...with weight watchers
As I briefly mentioned before I started weight watchers Jan 2009, and in about 8 months I lost 70 lbs. Went from 200 lbs to 130...
Here are some pics from those results
Before 200 lbs After 130 lbs

This is embarrassing! I really contemplated whether or not I should post these... but I figured why not, many many of you have them up as well. It can't get worse than this right???
So goes nothing

My long life story... in a few sentences...
Like many people I have battled with weight my entire life.
Needless to say it was short lived, and quickly gained 20 lbs of it back. I am now 26 years old, 150 lbs, and 5'10. Most people would find this to be "normal". But I know that I can do better, I know that I can have the body that I have always dreamed of. So on August 27 2010, I decided to change my life and start P90X. So join me as I push play... everyday. And get JACKED!!!
- I hit my max weight of 260 lbs at 21...lost about 60 lbs with various diets.
- In January of 2009 I joined weight watchers at 200 lbs...and lost 70 lbs in 8 months.
